halloween political bashing

i was watching the news this morning and they reported on a couple of passionate political followers that emulated the death of the canidate they dislike as decoration for halloween. (california news/media likes to cover things like haunted houses and what puppies were born to the weather lady's dog the day before...)
that is just plain disrespectful. no matter how much you dislike someone's ideals it's never ok to emulate their death as decoration for a holiday that has NOTHING to do with politics. how rude and disrespectful. for the lady that put up the no obama thing the mccain campaign actually came out to the lady's home to ask her to take down the distasteful display. there was a couple that also depicted mccain hanging palin.
i just find it absolutely appalling that people are treating our presidental candidates with such disrespect. above all they are still fellow humans. would you depict the death of your brother just because you didn't like his ideals? and these are still men of office. wouldn't that be some sort of betrayal of our government??? in anycase, i just found it interesting and thought i'd share.

It is sad that some people do that kinda stuff. I have seen that house a couple times driving by and I always think what if that house owner was running for V.P. himself. Would he want people that hate him doing stuff like that?
